If you have always wanted but not had the time to learn this "granny skill" or you would like more information on what it takes to compete in the CWA NSW State Handicraft Competition, then this workshop is for you!
Embroidery is the ornamentation of textiles with decorative stitchery.
Attendees will participate in a Q & A session with current State Handicraft Committee member and CWA NSW Handicraft Judge, Ailsa Stewart. Ailsa will also provide feedback on attendees' completed or current personal projects (this includes knitting and crochet) if it is brought along on the day.
Ailsa will then take attendees through a beginners embroidery, with a view to learning an easy stitch (ie satin stitch).
Attendees should bring along a very basic sewing kit (ie needles; thread; scissors) and, if possible, an embroidery hoop.
Tickets are $15.86. Book now.
