Each year The Land newspaper sponsors a cookery competition open to any person residing in NSW or the ACT. Cooking from standard recipes in the Cookery Schedule 2016-2017, CWA Members and the general public come together in the hopes of winning a prize.

Entry fees: Members (80c per entry), non members ($10 unlimited entries). Fees include light refreshments.

Registrations open 9am and close 9:30am. Judging commences 10am.

The winner and runner-up in each category qualify for the Phillip Group competition to be held on 18 March 2017. The winner in each category at the Phillip Group competition qualifies for the State finals held during the CWA NSW Annual Conference in May 2017.
